Applications:
Handling of chemical substances in all kinds of laboratories at moderate or room temperature:
- Analysis laboratories
- Research laboratories
- Laboratories for quality control
- Clinical laboratories
- etc.
Filter systems:
The glass cabinets of the type G work with a filter system which consists of an active coal filter and are used for gas filtration.
The glass cabinets of type GS are equipped with both an active coal filter and a HEPA-filter and are used for gas and particle filtration. The HEPA-absolute filter comply with the class H14 (according to standard EN-1822).
All glass cabinets are equipped with a pre-filter made of synthetic bio fiber to filter atmospheric dust. This complies with class G4 (according to standard EN-779).
Active coal filter:
All active coal filters of these glass cabinets are made, impregnated and tested according to standard EN-141. They were designed for adsorption of the following chemicals:
Type A: ideal for organic vapours such as ketone, ether, alcohols, xyline, hydrocarbon etc. It is also suitable for inorganic acids, as long as their content is not too high, because too much acid could harm the filter.
Type BE: ideal for inorganic acids such as H2SO4, HCI, HNO3 as well as volatile sulphur compounds such as H2S, SO3. Can be used for organic vapours, because active coal is impregnated with metallic compounds and neutralising salts. Also to be recommended for organic and inorganic acids in equal shares.
Type F: ideal for formaldehyde, formol and derivates as well as other organic compounds. Due to Cu-impregnation never to be used with inorganic acids!
Type K: ideal for NH3, amines and for other organic compounds. Impregnated with metallic salts.
Type M: especially for Hg (mercury); should be used in connection with a HEPA-filter for particles.
Type ABEK: combination of several filter types, if the ratio of organic chemicals, inorganic and NH3/amines is approximately even.
Serial equipment:
- Anemometer
- Apparatus for checking the saturation degree of the filter
- 3 year warranty
Additional equipment (options):
- Illumination
- Retention pan for liquids and working area made of safety glass
- Mobile rack
- Glass cabinet for training facilities: with transparent side and back walls
- Modules: connection of several extractors
- Filter test kit: to determine filter saturation degree
- 125V, 60 Hz
