Low Retention Pipettes and Filter Tips, BRAND

The new, ultra-hydrophobic BRAND Ultra Low Retention pipette and filter tips feature a patented surface treatment to make the polypropylene of the pipette and filter tips extremely liquid repellent, reducing costly sample loss during pipetting to a minimum. Special patented process does not use coatings on tips that might lead to sample contamination. BRAND Low Retention tips are ideal for biological samples that contain detergents such as Triton® X-100, SDS, Tween etc. The new surface has a high chemical resistance and is ideal for working with a wide range of solvents.

The Low Retention pipette and filter tips are produced under state-of-the-art cleanroom conditions and palletized automatically. The quality features of the BRAND pipette and filter tips are also to be found in the Low Retention tips:

  • High-grade PP (free of DiHEMDA and oleamide)
  • Graded for fast volume control (not for 300 µl tip)
  • Autoclavable at 121°C (2 bar) pursuant to DIN EN 285
  • Environmentally friendly packaging
  • CE mark pursuant to EC IVD Directive 98/79
  • The pipette tips are tested for BRAND and for most pipette models by Gilson®, Thermo Fisher Scientific Finnpipette®, Eppendorf® and Biohit.

Low Retention filter tips
Filter tips are particularly suitable for use in the PCR technology and for working in microbiological and radioactive fields. The hydrophobic PE filter (which is free of chemical additives) acts as a barrier against aerosols generated during pipetting. Filter tips reduce the risk of cross-contamination and incorrect measuring results caused by contaminated pipette shafts, or protect the shafts from contamination.

Low Retention pipette and filter tips BIO-CERT®(sterile)
BIO-CERT® products are free of DNA, RNase, and ATP. They are sterilized with beta particles in compliance with ISO 11137 and the AAMI regulations, reaching an SAL of 10-6. The sterility meets the requirements specified in the Ph. Eur. and the USP 29. The endotoxin concentration is below 0.01 EU/ml. Quality assurance is performed in an independent approved test lab. Delivery comprises a certificate for the individual batch in question.
