Heating Mantles PILZ®, Winkler

All heating mantles are suitable for high operating temperatures, have to have a certain flexibility and are manufactured as crocheted versions for this reason. They are not protected against humidity. They are classified as portable loads. According to valid European standards and regulations, it has to be provided that no dangerous touch voltage can occur at the heating mantle when liquids intrude. This is designed to protect the respective user.

Solution
The new PILZ-heating mantles are equipped with a multi-point connector, so that, for safety reasons, they can only be operated with the respective ground fault circuit interruptor (30mA). Heating mantles which are only operated with a shock-proof plug do not meet these requirements, because the heating mantles can be connected anywhere. When liquids intrude, operating voltages which are dangerous for the operator can occur.
With this system and the matching accessories, the laboratory heating mantles can be operated with according power controller and laboratory regulator.
