High-duty hot plates made of CERAN®with thermostatic temperature control from +50 to 500°C
CERAN® - an extraordinary glass ceramic which is extremely resistant to breakage and changes of temperature, will not distort, infrared transmitting and also hight acid-resistant. Its popularity as a material for hot plates in increasing continually.
Features:
The low-mass plate is electrically heated over its full surface, and is embedded into a high-grade, stainless steel frame which is mounted on an internally insulated stainless steel housing. The housing is 5 mm bigger all-round than the Ceran plate. Four feet, which can be individually adjusted to an approximate height of 8 mm, ensure wobble-free standing. The overall height when the feet are screwed right in amounts to 98 mm. Types 4 A and 4 SR are equipped with additional sockets for 4 screw-in retort rods with a diameter of 12 mm.
The entire temperature control system is accommodated in a sealed pressure-cast aluminium case with IP 65 protection. The temperature is set on a °C temperature scale from +50 to 500°C and remains constant automatically. Very good control accuracy, e.g. ± 4°C at 100°C to ±2°C at up to 300°C an more, are achieved thanks to the low-mass heating system and fast responding temperature sensor. These small differences are hardly notable in the heated material. Heat up times are very short, e.g. just 8 minutes to 500°C.
The standard length of the cable between the control case and the heater is 1.3 m. Each additional 0.5 m incurs an extra charge equal to 1% of the unit's price. Please quote required cable length when ordering.
Hot plate as flush-mounting unit for installing in benches. Separate controller case (175 × 60 × 80 mm) for installing behind the bench frame. The standard length of the cable between the hot plate and the controller case is 0.65 m.
These flush-mounting hot plates are available in an additional version with stainless steel insertable frame. For technical specifications and dimension drawings go to www.gestigkeit.de.
